On the auspicious occasion of Holi, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Ajay Rai and other party workers visited Srividya Math on Thursday to receive blessings from Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj.

On this occasion, Ajay Rai said the saint community has always guided society in the right direction. The guidance of great saints like Jagadguru Shankaracharya in protecting the traditions, faith, and religious values of Sanatan Dharma is inspiring for the entire society.

Rai expressed his support for the movements and religious and social issues being raised by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji Maharaj and said that the Congress Party stands firmly with him and will continue to do so. If any attempt is made to harm the religion, culture, and dignity of the Sant Samaj, the Congress Party will strongly oppose it.
The Congress Party has always championed India’s Ganga-Jamuni culture, secular values, and respect for all religions. Any attempt to suppress the voice of the Sant Samaj is against democracy and Indian traditions and cannot be accepted at any cost.
The festival of Holi symbolizes love, brotherhood, social harmony, and mutual goodwill. This festival inspires us to forget discrimination and move forward with unity and brotherhood.
